‘Batman V Superman’ May Feature A Truly Killer Villain

The whole Batman v Superman villain situation has become more than a bit murky lately. About a week ago, rumors starting swirling that a variety of weird, minor DC villains like Mr. Zasz and Morgan Edge would be in the movie. Then people started saying these villain leaks were based on a fake script written by none other than weird minor comic book villain aficionado, Kevin Smith. He denied it, because of course he did.

Descent into Mystery: Celebrating the 25th Annviersery of Tim Burton’s Batman

Jonathon D. Svendsen

When I was four years old, my four favorite superheroes were Superman, Batman, Robin and The Incredible Hulk. While I didn’t read the comic books at the time I did enjoy their exploits through films (as was the case for Superman) and TV (Batman and Hulk). Batman, for me, was must see TV. Everywhere I went, if there was a TV, be it grandma’s house, a hotel, or sitting with my mom in the waiting room of an auto repair shop, I had to watch Batman. This was part of the reason why, on Christmas of 1989, when my dad opened his present in from my aunt and uncle, I was excited. The video box didn’t have any words, but that was OK. The symbol on the cover said all I needed or cared to know:

Batman Vol 1 The Court of Owls

Me, myself and I do stuff

9 out of 10 batarangs

As part of The New 52 revamp for the DC superheroes. BATMAN is back in The Court of Owls consisting of Batman #1-7, created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. I’ll give more credit to the artists towards the end.

Enter Batman. He kicks ass. He leaves. Should I leave it at that? Naw, I’ll give you some insight to this work.

First off, the story is outstanding. It kept me gripped throughout. I honestly couldn’t put it down. The Court of Owls is about coming to grips with a new enemy that is smart, resourceful and ruthless. Pretty much how every new character comes across until Batman kicks ass, amirite? Scott Snyder shows us what the Dark Knight can be put through. I bet you didn’t know that Owls are a natural predator for bats. Boom, you learn something new every day.

The artwork…

Justice League assemble under one roof.

Fan of Superhero comics or any sort of comics? If not, we got it covered. Most of the TV series buffs would know this, San Diego Comic Con is the largest Comic Convention which usually happens in the summer, in California State.

This year, Batman, Flash and Green Arrow (Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen and Oliver Queen in order) will be making appearance in the convention itself as the Premier of CW’s The Flash will take place and a sneak peak of CW’s Arrow will be shown; whereas Fox’s Gotham will be premiered at the DC Entertainment Night later this year. This would be the first time where members of Justice League will come under one roof.

In another note, NBC’s Constantine will be premiering as well at this Comic Con, which is a TV adaptation of the movie ‘Constantine’ featuring Keanu Reeves. But the show is going to be truer…

Does Batgirl’s New Look Signify a New Direction for DC?

Now this is a legitimate surprise, and one I find myself welcoming with open arms. DC Comics has revealed a new creative team on Batgirl for this fall, and with it, I think they’re signaling a new direction for their entire company. At least I hope that’s the case. Forgive me for getting a little hyperbolic over here, but I like what I see and I see what I like.

Look at this picture, from artists Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr, and tell me it isn’t Batgirl channeling Ms. Marvel or Lumberjanes.

Hipsters are still popular, right?

I don’t know how things look from where you’re sitting, but for me, we’re in the middle of a comic book revolution. Cute, quirky, artistic and personable comics are my favorites, these days, and Marvel is leading the charge. Hawkeye, Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, FF and, especially,

Disaster Movie

Rumah Si Tukang Review

Director: Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Artist: Mitt Lanter, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Minnillo
Running Time: 88 Minutes
